Just finished a great devotional book by Kay Arthur. (Lord, Give Me a Heart for You) I wasn’t always the biggest Kay Arthur fan, but I’ve heard some dvds of her speaking and read a few books now, and even though we are in very different stages of life, and she has had vastly different experiences that I have, she says things all the time that I feel like she was reading my mind. I can very easily relate to her, and her Bible study method has really grown on me. I just bought some new colored pencils to mark up my devotions. In this book she has the verses in the back of the book which I like because although I do sometimes underline or whatever in my Bible, I’m still getting used to the idea of my Bible being a rainbow of color and full of shapes. I may get there, but until then I’m glad to be able to use her method and see all the connections without coloring and drawing in my Bible.

Great read about life not going as planned. It has had some mixed reviews, but I have no problem with her speaking out while she is still grieving. I think that her honesty is refreshing and will continue to be a help to many as they journey through their losses of dreams and of loved ones. Choosing to See
